Will this work with my system?

Match your equipment to these requirements before ordering.

Documented compatible models

Follow the configuration requirements below. Models not listed here have not been verified by this list.

System requirements

  • Supply voltage: 24 V AC, 60 Hz; operating range 23–30 V AC
  • Power: Hardwired AC
  • Connection: Pelican three-wire R/C/D connection
  • Connection limits: External thermistor: maximum 100 ft; dry contact: maximum 150 ft

Check before you buy

  1. Match the full TA1 model number and hardware revision to the manufacturer's equipment manual and accessory list.
  2. Confirm that the exact host-controller model supports this sensor signal or wireless protocol, then check placement and connection limits.
Installation & configuration details
  • A TC thermostat supports one TA1. Temperature and dry-contact input functions are alternative configurations.
  • Requires a compatible Pelican host and gateway; the listed thermostats are alternative host choices.

Overview

Part of the Pelican Wireless system. See the system overview for component roles and selection requirements.

The TA1 adds a temperature or contact-status input to a Pelican installation. It can participate in room-temperature averaging, monitor a separate temperature, or relay the state of an external contact. It is a wired accessory, not a wireless gateway.

System requirements

Use it with a compatible Pelican thermostat, power control module, or advanced controller and an established Pelican Gateway. Functions vary with the connected controller. Thermostat applications support one TA1, connected through the R/C/D power-and-data interface.

Input selection

The input accepts a 10K Type II thermistor or a dry-contact signal. Temperature and contact configurations are alternatives; an external probe or contact replaces the supplied internal sensor. The installation guide covers occupancy, alarm, door/window and flow-input configurations.

Installation considerations

Choose the external sensor for the medium and temperature being measured. Keep the TA1 itself dry and use the manufacturer's instructions for the input selection and cable limits.
