Will this work with my system?

Match your equipment to these requirements before ordering.

Documented compatible models

Follow the configuration requirements below. Models not listed here have not been verified by this list.

System requirements

  • Supply voltage: 24 V AC, 60 Hz
  • Power: Hardwired AC
  • Electrical load limits: Binary output: 24 V AC, 2.0 A running
  • Connection: Three-wire connection to a Pelican thermostat
  • Connection limits: Up to 500 ft between thermostat and controller using specified unshielded thermostat wire

Limitations & exclusions

  • Not a standalone room thermostat.
  • Demand-based ventilation requires a CO2-sensing TC3 or TC4; TC1 and TC2 do not provide CO2 sensing.

Check before you buy

  1. Match the full PEARL model number and hardware revision to the manufacturer's equipment manual and accessory list.
  2. Compare the equipment terminals, control voltage and required operating sequence with the model-specific installation diagrams.
Installation & configuration details
  • Requires a compatible Pelican thermostat; the listed TC models are alternatives, not a requirement to purchase all four.
  • Demand-based ventilation requires TC3 or TC4. TC1 and TC2 do not supply CO2 sensing.

Overview

Part of the Pelican Wireless system. See the system overview for component roles and selection requirements.

PEARL adds equipment-level control to a Pelican thermostat. Depending on the selected sequence, it manages economizer dampers, ventilation, variable-speed fans or other modulating HVAC equipment. The thermostat and controller operate together; PEARL is not a standalone room thermostat.

System requirements

Select the configuration for the actual equipment, actuators and sensors. Demand-based ventilation requires an appropriate CO₂-sensing Pelican thermostat. Temperature inputs and analog feedback support the applicable control sequence and diagnostics.

Installation considerations

A three-wire power-and-data connection links PEARL to the thermostat. Use the installation and application guides to identify output assignments, actuator types and required sensors before installation. Optional expansion-module features are not included in the base-unit specifications shown here.

Technical document notes

The datasheet's inch and millimeter enclosure dimensions do not agree. Dimensions are withheld pending confirmation of the stocked hardware; use manufacturer confirmation for mounting clearances.
